Cancer, Acidic or Alkaline

Basic Points about Cancer

Adjusting our Nutrition to Alkaline

If we know that Cancer is either acidic or Alkaline, does it do us any good?

Basic Facts

Cancer is a topic people do not want to talk about and yet they are drawn to knowing more about it. In the next several articles, I will give you information supplied by medical experts. These articles will review specific and general nutrition issues with Cancer.

Most physicians approach cancer with drugs and harsh treatments. They are now acknowledging that what we eat feeds the body AND cancer cells. The secret is that we want to STARVE the cancer cells and feed our immune system so that it can do the job it was intended to do.

We can adjust our eating patterns to feed our body and start the cancer cells.

I am sure you remember your Grandmother telling you to “Starve a cold and Feed a fever.”

You may have a few cancer cells already in your body but you don't have to get cancer. Now we can tell our children that you “Deprive the cells of sugar and milk. To Feed the cells eat vegetables.”

Future articles will explain how cancer cells grow and how nutrition keeps your immune system healthy. But first...

Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard Tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

Assume square chickens make square eggs

As told by a Couple of Clucks…

William and Gayle

A few years ago, I had a kitchen device for shaping boiled eggs into a square. It was a great conversation piece at buffet dinners. Some guests considered me naïve so I played along. I simply said I assumed square chickens produced square eggs.

Unfortunately, this statement did not always go over. Many of my friends and neighbours were traditionalists, did not see this as fun 'toy' and rejected this as silly.

In response to this, I promptly decided to create a paper maché "square" chicken. At the next social event, I placed it on the buffet table, surrounding it with my square eggs. It was there for everyone to see, and enjoy.

The comments were quite revealing and a LOT of fun. They ranged from people laughing at themselves, getting a new outlook on life or disgust that I wasn’t acting my age. I still giggle as I think about it. They say that laughter is the best medicine. Well, this square chicken certainly has kept me healthy!

The point I am making with this story is that we get so wrapped up in the accepted norms and routines of society that we forget to question our routines and play. There is nothing wrong with assuming square chickens.

Some of society's rules are safety rules but others are simply to keep another from being inconvenienced. I recommend each reader taking the time each day to find something that can be changed, share a giggle or plan one for the future. The focus of our articles is health and this is one way that we can stay healthy.

Have great big cluck, and remember even the best comedians lay an egg once in a while.

Enjoy life

TOTAL CHOLESTEROL CALCULATIONS

As I mentioned before, my initial articles on our blogs were long and frequently complex. Therefore, I want to remind all readers that I revised and shortened all the columns for your ease of readings. I also modified the headings as I belief that total cholesterol calculations are more accurate than the words “normal values.”

When you get your cholesterol checked at your Doctors, you may get ratings for Total, LDL and HDL, without a clear understanding of what it means or differences between Total, LDL and HDL cholesterol. You enjoy a relatively low risk of coronary heart disease, if your total blood cholesterol scores below 200 mg/dL and the LDL, HDL and triglyceride levels are also at desirable levels. All this assumes you have no other risk factors for heart disease such as smoking, high blood pressure, stress or poor eating habits.

If your Total Cholesterol calculation for Blood (or Serum) Level is between 200–239 mg/dL, then your Total cholesterol is Borderline to High Risk. If this is the case, then ask your doctor to evaluate your levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol, HDL (good) cholesterol and triglycerides. It is possible to have borderline-high total cholesterol numbers and still have normal levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol balanced by high levels of HDL (good) cholesterol.

If your Total Cholesterol calculation for Blood (or Serum) Level is 240 mg/dL and over, this is a High Risk. People who have a total cholesterol level of 240 mg/dL or more typically have twice the risk of coronary heart disease as people whose cholesterol level is desirable (200 mg/dL). I recommend further testing. There are several ways to order this testing. If your test didn’t show your LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglycerides, your doctor should order a fasting profile. It is prudent to rule out any effects from your eating.

I found it interesting to learn about the proven correlation between HDL and Alzheimer’s. If you have Alzheimer’s in your family, consider this justification for monitoring your HDL and taking preventative action such as using natural cholesterol lowering products. Two of our websites have information on a new product called NuCardio. The sites are: http://www.folkherbwisdom.com and http://nutronix.com/helpingyou. Both sites recommend getting the testing before taking the products. Having your total cholesterol calculations is a wise piece of information.

The importance of drinking the BEST Water for us - alkaline

Ionized, Alkaline water can be the source of good health. Research shows that this is one of the key avenues to a healthy body and reversing aging and illness. It is known to oxygenating the organs, removing free radicals and flushing out poisons. So many ailments in our body come from being too acidic. In addition to reducing the acid foods we eat, we need to consume alkaline water which will help re-balance our organs.
